Before your time, sonny. Bomb threats used to be a common occurrence at middle schools across the us. Kids who wanted out for the day would elect someone to make the call....

Likewise, throwing the fire alarm. It didn't used to be a capitol offense. It happened fairly regularly, and resulted in detention (not prosecution) if you got caught.

In the old days, if slave drivers refused to send their employees home to accomodate flooding, some industrious person would throw a fire alarm or call in a bomb......

True story.

Our house flooded two years ago. I'm paranoid since.

Tailgaters.

As in..people who actually tailgate you.

Not gators who like tail, or people who barbecue on the back of their truck.

IN the good old days, we had cocktails at lunch with clients...those were the days.

It is freaking pouring at my house...it's never flooded, even when we got 13" a few years ago during a tropical storm, but hopefully we won't get enough rain to test this scenario. And, I hope your feet stay dry.

Let's keep our fingers crossed for a tropical storm day tomorrow. C'mon Gov. Scott, be a sport and let the state workers stay home tomorrow.

Faye dumped 20" on us. The yard flooded but nothing came into the house.

We've been lucky, just 4.5" at the moment. But there are reports of 20" south of here. The frogs sound like it is about to move on.
